Police Video Surveillance

Drawing on a current research of the influence of closed circuit television (CCTV) cams on policing methods in a huge English police force, this paper takes into consideration whether the presence of Police Video Surveillance influences the functioning attitudes and also behavior of private police officers. Specifically, this paper asks whether CCTV makes the authorities more responsible or more cautious in the exercise of their discretion in public rooms.
